Spring Opening of Crossroad’s Farm at Grossmann’s Brings Out Malverne Community

Crossroads FarmTown of Hempstead Senior Councilman Anthony J. Santino, Town Clerk Nasrin Ahmad and Assemblyman Brian Curran joined Malverne Mayor Patti Ann McDonald for the Grand Opening festivities and ribbon cutting for Crossroad Farm at Grossmann’s.

The opening event was coordinated by a group of community residents led by Myra Jawdoszyn. Now in its fourth season of operation, Crossroads Farm remains fully operational as one of Nassau County’s last working farms; it is a thriving, certified organic farm that employs effective biodynamic growing techniques—ensuring the health of both the land and the community. This public farm now has growing volunteer, education, and CSA programs, as well as a farm stand for locally grown produce.
