Oyster Bay Town Councilwoman Rebecca M. Alesia announced that the Town’s Annual Leaf Collection Program is scheduled to begin on Monday, November 2nd.
“The Town’s Annual Leaf Collection Program will run from Monday, November 2nd through Friday, December 4th,” Councilwoman Alesia stated. “The men and women of the Highway Department will be working together with the Department of Public Works-Sanitation & Recycling Collection Division to collect bagged leaves on residents’ regular S.O.R.T. recycling collection days.”
Councilwoman Alesia went on to say that residents should place their bagged leaves at the curb with their other recyclables. Sanitation crews will collect up to 20 bags. Locations that have more than 20 bags will have the excess picked up by Highway or Sanitation personnel the following day.
