Assemblyman Tom McKevitt (R,C,I-East Meadow) hosted his annual blood drive at the East Meadow Public Library on July 28 with a record-breaking 104 pints of blood donated to Long Island Blood Services.
“We have been hosting this blood drive for years and it is wonderful to see the event grow and continue to be such a success,” said McKevitt. “It is wonderful to live in and represent a community that is so generous. Thank you to everyone who donated and to Long Island Blood Services, and if anyone who hasn’t donated yet this summer would like to participate please consider donating at my upcoming drive at the Farmingdale Public Library on August 29.”
All donors will receive a pair of NY Mets tickets, compliments of Long Island Blood Services. The August 29 drive will be held from 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Farmingdale Public Library. While appointments are not required, they are appreciated to help even the flow of participants. To make an appointment, or for more information, please contact McKevitt’s office at (516) 228-4960.
