Ferretti Announces Additional Local Property Tax Exemptions Workshops

Nassau County Legislator John R. Ferretti, Jr. would like to inform all owners of a house, condominium or cooperative apartment that they may qualify for hundreds of dollars in property tax savings each year. The Nassau County Department of Assessment is bringing its office operations to the public and will have representatives on hand to answer questions about exemptions and to accept applications on-site from homeowners wishing to file for Veterans, Senior Citizen, Cold War Veterans, Volunteer Firefighters and Ambulance Workers, Limited Income Disability, and Home Improvement exemptions. Enhanced STAR applications will also be processed for homeowners already enrolled in the STAR Program prior to January 2, 2015.

 

Tuesday, Oct. 23rd – 1:00 PM TO 2:30 PM
North Merrick Public Library – 1691 Meadowbrook Rd., N. Merrick

 

Thursday, Aug. 16th – 1:00 PM TO 2:30 PM
East Meadow Public Library – 1886 Front St., East Meadow

 

Homeowners who will be filing for an exemption can help expedite the processing of their application by bringing two copies of required documentation. Applications and specific documentation requirements are available on the Department of Assessment’s website at: www.nassaucountyny.gov/assessment.

Legislator Ferretti Proud to Attend Graduation Ceremony for Division Avenue High School

Division Avenue High School GraduationNassau County Legislator John R. Ferretti, Jr. was happy to join with Division Avenue High School for their Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, June 16, 2018.

 

Legislator Ferretti said, “I was so proud to be at the Graduation for the Class of 2018, especially because this is Councilman Dunne, Supreme Court Justice Feinman and my Alma mater.”

 

Legislator Ferretti was also on hand at the Graduation Ceremonies for Island Trees High School and General Douglas MacArthur High School. “Congratulations to all the Graduates from the Class of 2018! Wishing you all the best,” said Legislator Ferretti.

Kumon Learning Center of LevittownLegislator John R. Ferretti, Jr. was privileged to be the keynote speaker at the Kumon Learning Center of Levittown Awards on Sunday, June 3, 2018. Awards were given in many categories honoring students’ academic achievement in both the math and reading comprehension program. Legislator Ferretti said “I am so proud of all my young constituents!”

 

Kumon is the world’s largest after-school math and reading enrichment program that helps give its students stronger independence and concentration, greater confidence and improved math and reading comprehension skills.

Legislator Ferretti Joins Scout Michael Greco of Troop #316 at Levittown VFW Post #9592

Scout Michael GrecoNassau County Legislator John R. Ferretti, Jr. was honored to spend time with Scout Michael Greco of Troop 316 at the Levittown VFW Post #9592 on Hickory Lane as he worked on his Eagle Scout Project which includes the building of a fire pit at the VFW.
