Legislator Ferretti Sponsors Bethpage Federal Credit Union to Help Residents File Taxes

free tax preparationOn Saturday, March 31, 2018, Nassau County Legislator John R. Ferretti, Jr. sponsored a free tax preparation help event along with Bethpage Federal Credit Union at the Levittown Library to help residents file their 2017 taxes.


“I would like to thank Bethpage Federal Credit Union for helping me to help our community with filing taxes this year” said Legislator Ferretti.

Nassau County Legislator John R. Ferretti, Jr. & Bethpage federal credit union proudly announce free tax preparation services through the Bethpage Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program

Nassau County Legislator John R. Ferretti, Jr. is joining with Bethpage Federal Credit Union to provide free help to file your income taxes. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program offers free tax help for low to moderate-income (generally $55,000 and below) individuals and families. Bilingual tax assistance is available.


Please remember to bring the following:


  • Social Security cards for you, your spouse and dependents
  • An Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) assignment letter may be substituted for you, your spouse and your dependents if you do not have a Social Security number
  • Proof of foreign status, if applying for an ITIN
  • Birth dates for you, your spouse and dependents on the tax return
  • Wage and earning statements (Form W-2, W-2G, 1099-R, 1099-Misc) from all employers
  • Interest and dividend statements from banks (Forms 1099)
  • All Forms 1095, Health Insurance Statements (1095-A, 1095-B, 1095-C)
  • Health Insurance Exemption Certificate, if received
  • A copy of last year’s federal and state returns, if available
  • Proof of bank account routing and account numbers for direct deposit such as a blank check
  • To file taxes electronically on a married-filing-joint tax return, both spouses must be present to sign the required forms
  • Total paid for daycare provider and the daycare provider’s tax identifying number such as their Social Security number or business Employer Identification Number
  • Forms 1095-A, B or C, Affordable Health Care Statements
  • Copies of income transcripts from IRS and state, if applicable


* To file taxes electronically on a married filing joint tax return, both spouses must be present.

Mangano Joins Island Harvest And Bethpage Federal Credit Union In The Fight Against Hunger

Fight Against HungerNassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano thanked representatives of Island Harvest and the Bethpage Federal Credit Union for once again partnering in the fight against hunger.


Each November, Bethpage Federal Credit Union joins Island Harvest to hold a Turkey Drive that collects food and money for families in need on Long Island. In 2014, thanks to the efforts of community volunteers, Island Harvest provided Thanksgiving dinner to over 300,000 Long Island families. Senator Martins Welcomes Bethpage Federal Credit Union to Albertson

Senator Jack M. Martins (R-7th Senate District, pictured above, fourth left) recently helped welcome Bethpage Federal Credit Union to its new location in Albertson. Senator Martins joined with representatives from Bethpage Federal Credit Union, along with fellow local officials Assemblyman Ed Ra, North Hempstead Town Clerk Wayne Wink, and North Hempstead Town Councilman Peter Zuckerman, in cutting the ribbon on the new branch.

This Sunday: Free Family-Fun Children’s Day At Eisenhower Park

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano today announced that Nassau County will host “Children’s Day” this Sunday, July 28th from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Eisenhower Park, sponsored by Bethpage Federal Credit Union. Admission is free.


From 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. children of all ages will be able to enjoy a variety of activities including carnival rides (ages 2 – 8), bouncy houses (ages 3-15), face painting and arts and crafts. Beginning at 6:00 p.m., Plaza Theatrical Productions will be performing Disney Camp Rock at the Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre.


“I invite everyone to bring your family down to Eisenhower Park on Sunday, July 28th and enjoy a fun filled afternoon of entertainment and take in a wonderful performance of Disney Camp Rock, performed by Plaza Theatrical Productions,” said County Executive Mangano. “I am proud to once again partner with Bethpage Federal Credit Union to bring affordable entertainment to Eisenhower Park. Partnerships such as this are an important asset in assisting the County with providing quality entertainment to our residents.”
