Legislator Kennedy Attends Court of Honor for Eagle Scout Brendan Maloney

Brendan MaloneyNassau County Legislator James D. Kennedy offered congratulations and presented a Legislative Citation to Brendan Maloney of Massapequa Park Boy Scout Troop 339 for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest and most prestigious rank within the Boy Scout organization.

 

For his Eagle Scout project, Brendan renovated an unused portion of land currently owned by the Ancient Order of Hibernians in Babylon, cutting down overhanging branches and mending the grass in the area. As a finishing touch, he built a horseshoe pit for everyone in the community to enjoy.

Legislator Kennedy Attends Court of Honor for Massapequa Eagle Scout Nicholas Von Rosk

Nicholas Von RoskNassau County Legislator James D. Kennedy proudly presented Nicholas Von Rosk of Massapequa Boy Scout Troop 590 with an honorary citation at his Court of Honor Ceremony where he became an Eagle Scout, the highest and most prestigious rank within the organization.

 

Nicholas’ Eagle Scout project consisted of organizing and participating in a clean-up of the Tackapausha Nature Preserve for all to enjoy.

Legislator Walker Attends Court of Honor for Massapequa’s Newest Eagle Scout

Anthony Michael CardilloNassau County Legislators Rose Marie Walker and James D. Kennedy recently honored Massapequa resident Anthony Michael Cardillo of Farmingdale Boy Scout Troop 261 with an honorary citation at his Court of Honor Ceremony, where he became an Eagle Scout, the highest and most prestigious rank within the organization. Anthony’s Eagle Scout project consisted of building eight picnic tables for the Town of Oyster Bay neighborhood parks, including two that are handicap accessible.

Gonsalves Honors Eagle Scout Christopher Ham

Court of HonorPresiding Officer Norma L. Gonsalves (R-East Meadow, LD 13) attended Boy Scout Troop 285’s Eagle Court of Honor for Eagle Scout Christopher Ham which took place at St. Barnabas Church in Bellmore. Christopher is a resident of Bellmore. For his project, Christopher renovated, improved and organized a storage shed for Bethany House, a non-profit Homeless Shelter that has an outreach program for homeless women and children. Matthew also earned 63 Merit Badges and served his troop in a variety of leadership positions.

 

“Christopher has shown tremendous dedication and organizational skills to attain the rank of Eagle Scout,” said Presiding Officer Gonsalves. “His improvements to help organize a local non-profit organization’s shed will allow Bethany House to assist many families in need.”

Senator Venditto Honors Eagle Scout from Troop 239 of Seaford

Senator Michael Venditto (R, C, I- Massapequa) had the pleasure of congratulating Randy Stephen Licata from Troop 239 of Seaford for attaining the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout. The rank of Eagle Scout is the Boy Scouts of America’s highest honor and is achieved by less than 3% of Boy Scouts nationwide. Congratulations Randy!

Thomas Anthony Morris of Troop 230 Legislator Ford recently honored East Rockaway resident Thomas Anthony Morris of Troop 230 for Earning the Rank of Eagle Scout.

Assemblyman Ed Ra (R-Franklin Square) joined in celebrating Franklin Square’s newest Eagle Scout, Liam O’Grady, at the Court of Honor ceremony held on Monday, January 4. The ceremony honored O’Grady, a member of Troop 93, for his impressive achievement.

 

“It’s always great to see such active and determined young people in our community,” said Ra. “Becoming an Eagle Scout is an honorable accomplishment, and Liam has earned every ounce of this recognition. I applaud him for his distinguished service to his community, and wish him continued success in the future.”

Ra Recognizes Troop 93’s Newest Eagle Scout
